The Union Free Public Library, as part of the Conncticard system, makes its materials available for loan to anyone with a valid Connecticut library card. Borrowers need to obtain their cards from their home town. We can only issue cards to residents of Union, including summer residents (property owners).
Loan Periods
Books, CDs, Cassettes, Magazines: four weeks
DVDs, VHS tapes: one week; borrowers must be 18 or older, or have parents' permission
All materials, when checked out, will include a date card to remind you when they are due back at the library. We do not currently charge overdue fines, but if you are late in returning any materials, we appreciate a donation to our "Conscience Can."
For your convenience, the library has installed an outside, metal return bin
